The Dowra 2010

All praise be to God; applications for the Dowra Summer Intensive held annually in Tarim, Yemen, for 2010 are now open.
During the Dowra, students will get the opportunity to study the following subjects either via English/Arabic translation or directly through the medium of the English language:
- Qur’an memorization
- Hadith Commentary (The Light of Faith – Habib Umar bin Hafiz)
- Fiqh (Hanafi and Shafi’i)
- Islamic spirituality (tasawwuf): various texts, including Qut al-Qulub (the Sustenance of the Hearts), The Beginning of Guidance, The Lives of Man
- Da’wah in the West
- Sirah of the Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace)
Teachers of the previous Dowra include Habib Umar bin Hafiz, Habib ‘Ali al-Jifry, Habib Kadhim as-Saqqaf, Habib ‘Ali Abu Bakr and Shaykh Umar al-Khatib (may Allah preserve them and allow us and all Muslims to benefit by them).

As-salaamu alaikum. My daughter would like to attend the Dowra. I sent in the same application with her name that is on the link you mentioned. Is that the correct way? Or is there another way to contact Dar Az-Zahra?

There will be a Dowra in Sri Lanka from the 1st to 31st July 2010.

Habib Kadhim, Sheikh ‘Umar al Khatib and Habib Muhammad al Aydarous are confirmed.
I assume they will only be present for the last month of the Dowra in Tarim. Can you please confirm this?

when will the applicants be notified of their acceptance? i have a friend who have to get his working leave as advance as a month before his leave date, so would appreciate if there is a date on the application acceptance.
he just send in his application a few days back by the way,hopefully the late registration is not an issue?
