ADVICE: Calling the Ego to Account

“Do you wish to control your ego (nafs), and to guide it to your Lord, so that it does not lead you to lowliness and distance from Allah, Exalted is He?
The beginning of this is calling it to account.
هل تريد أن تملك نفسك؟ هل تريد أن تسير بها إلى الله ؟ وتقودها إلى ربك !! حتى لا تقودك هي إلى السُّفل والبعد عن الله تعالى !! ( بداية ذلك: محاسبتُها )
