DUA: Seeking Repentance through Prayers Upon the Prophet ﷺ

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Below is a set of prayers upon our Beloved Prophet ﷺ that have been composed by Sayyidi Habib Umar (may Allah preserve him and benefit us by him). Although the formulas were not specifically given by him for us as a wird for the blessed month of Rajab, we are posting them in the hope that people would benefit from them, especially during these blessed times. Through reading these two prayers, we seek the highest type of repentance and we seek acceptance for that repentance. And may Allah Most High accept our repentance.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ أَفْضَلَ الصَّلوَات
صَلاةً تُحَقِّقُنا بِها بِأَشْرَفِ التَّوْبَات
و تَرْفَعُنا بِها في التَّوْبَةِ أَعَالِيَ الدَّرَجات
مَعَ مَنِ ارْتَضَيْتَ و اصْطَفَيْتَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الأَوْبَةِ و الإنابَةِ و الإخْبَات
يامُجِيبَ الدَّعْوَات و يا قَاضِي الحَاجات
وَعَلَى آلِهِ و صَحْبِهِ و أَهْلِ المَحَبَّةِ و المَوَدَّات.
O Allah, bestow the best of prayers upon our Master Muhammad, which enable us to attain the most noble types of repentance; by which You raise us to the highest degrees of repentance along with those with whom You are content and those whom You have chosen from the people that constantly return to You in a state of repentance and utter humility, O One who answers our prayers and fulfills our needs. And bestow prayers likewise upon his Family and Companions and all those that love him.

اللَّهُمَّ يا الله يا تَوَّاب صَلِّ على عَبْدِكَ و حَبِيبِكَ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبيِّ التَّوَّاب
وَعَلَى آلِهِ و صَحْبِهِ و سَلِّم تَسْلِيماً
و اجْعَلْنِي بِهِ إِليْكَ تَوَّاباً في كُلِّ نَفَسٍ مُخْلِصاً صادِقاً مَحْبوباً
O Allah, O Oft-Returning, bestow prayers and peace upon Your Slave and Beloved, our Master Muhammad, the Oft-Returning Prophet and upon his Family and Companions, and make me by him someone that returns to You in repentance in every instant, in a state of sincerity and truthfulness, so that I am beloved to You.
